sharing knowledge, engendering change. Isis International Manila
is dedicated to cover happenings and any emerging issues in the
review process of the Beijing Platform for Action which charts
women's advancement globally.
AWORC
Asian Women's Resource Exchange. AWORC provides a directory of
NGO's in the Asia-Pacific region that monitor the various concerns
having to do with the Beijing Platform for Action as well as campaigns
for technology training for women in order to advance networking
and advocacy work.
SAWNET
South Asian Women's Network. SAWNET is a forum for the interchange
of ideas, information, and advice, which links women to political,
charitable, and social organizations in South Asia (Including
Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri
Lanka).
PPSEAWA
Pan-Pacific and South East Asia Women's Association International.
PPSEAWA's objectives are "to strengthen the bonds of peace by
fostering a friendship and better understanding among women in
all areas of the Pacific and Southeast Asia, to promote cooperation
among women of these regions for the study and improvement of
social, economic, and cultural conditions."
Asia
Pacific Centre for Peace and Justice One of APCPJ's campaigns
involves an alternative security proposal for women and children.
Together with partner organizations in Asia and the US, the Asia
Pacific Center strives to end violence against women, children
and the environment resulting from the presence of US military
bases and personnel in Okinawa, the Philippines and South Korea.
WISCOMP
Women in Security, Conflict Management and Peace, a programme
