Born in 1949 in Baku city, Azerbaijan Republic. Married.

In 1977 graduated from the Foreign Languages Institute. High educated English Teacher.

In 1976-1997, worked as a translator and English teacher for the State University, National Academy of Sciences, Institute of Foreign Languages, Private University of Futurology, Forced Migration Projects of Open Society Institute.

Member of the Human Rights Center of Azerbaijan since 1993. Since 1996 leads its Women's Rights Monitoring Group. Editor of the HRCA newsletter on the women's rights. In Spring 1996 elected as a Coordinator of the Initiative Group of Amnesty International in Azerbaijan.

Participant of many local and international events on human and women's rights, migration issues, author of the articles and reports on the matter.
