Association of Genocide Widows Agahozo (AVEGA)
Other names: Association des Veuves du Génocide Agahozo/ Association des Veuves du Génocide d'Avril 1994
AVEGA is an association of genocide widows. In addition to providing members with psychosocial support and unity, AVEGA operates a small health clinic to assist women who are HIV positive or living with AIDS. In an environment where many women have lost all their family and friends, AVEGA provides support to orphans of the genocide as well as AIDS orphans.
