Rape Crisis
Most of the organization’s counselling and public education work is undertaken by volunteers. The membership and staff come from a range of backgrounds with a common understanding of rape as a crime of sexual violence and an abuse of power. The organization have a feminist understanding that women should be involved in their own healing and decision-making, with the goal of achieving and enhancing their own empowerment in a society that traditionally trains women to be powerless.

The Ceasefire Campaign
The Ceasefire Campaign is a voluntary association of concerned South Africans campaigning to raise public awareness of the dangers of continued militarism in State and Society. Ceasefire's Objectives are to contribute to disarmament and peace in South and Southern Africa. To this end, the Ceasefire Campaign is working towards the reduction and possible elimination of the arms industry in South Africa as well as the reduction and eventual elimination of South Africa's participation in the international arms trade.
