II International Congress
Woman Work Health
Issues: The 2nd International Congress on Women, Work, and Health
was held in Rio de Janeiro in 1999: Holding this Congress in Latin
America intended to improve the focus and increase the visibility
of this region's specific problems. Through international dialogue,
the aim of the Congress was to expand the debate pertaining to gains
and losses in the interface between work, health, gender, focusing
on the differences and similarities between local and global contexts.
