Haitian Women for Haitian Refugees
Haitian Women for Haitian Refugees is a group dedicated to providing a variety of services for the Haitian community of New York City. With two full-time staff and fifteen volunteers, the organization provides English classes for its predominantly English-limited immigrant community, helps develop microenterprises, resettles refugees, advocates on behalf of domestic workers fighting for fair wage demands, and organizes advocacy campaigns.

National Coalition for Haitian Rights (Coalition Nationale pour les Droits des Haitiens)
Established as the National Coalition for Haitian Refugees in 1982 by a coalition of 42 U.S. and Haitian religious, labor and human rights organizations, NCHR aimed to assure that Haitian asylum applicants receive fair hearings in the United States and educate the U.S. public about the political and economic causes of the Haitians' flight from their homeland. In 1995, NCHR initiated a new programmatic division for helping increase the political effectiveness of the Haitian-American community.
