Co-operation for Peace and Unity [CPAU]
The Co-operation for Peace and Unity (CPAU) is a network of
Afghan individuals dedicated to the building of peace in Afghanistan.
Founded in 1996, the CPAU aims to promote knowledge and awareness
of peace, social justice, and human rights. The CPAU organizes
conflict prevention training programs called 'Working with Conflict'
and 'Do no Harm'. The CPAU stresses that its main intention is
grassroots education aimed at building an inclusive civil society
in Afghanistan.

International Network for the Rights
of Female Victims of Violence in Pakistan (INRFVVP)
The INRFVVP aims to create a worldwide awareness of the violence
being done to girls and women in Pakistan. The long-term goal of
the INRFVVP is to examine the root-causes of violence toward girls
and women by a systematic and scientific analysis of both theoretical
and empirical data and to identify factors, which make such violence
so widely prevalent. An immediate objective of the INRFVVP is to
provide direct help - including humanitarian, medical, legal and
educational assistance to female victims of violence in Pakistan.

Revolutionary Association of Women in Afghanistan (RAWA)
RAWAs objective was to involve an increasing number of
Afghan women in social and political activities aimed at acquiring
womens human rights and contributing to the struggle for the
establishment of a government based on democratic and secular values
in Afghanistan. Despite the suffocating political atmosphere, RAWA
very soon became involved in widespread activities in different
socio-political arenas including education, health and income generation
as well as political agitation.
Issues: helping women and children inside Afghanistan and in refugee
camps in Pakistan and to fight against fundamentalism in order to
achieve democracy and women's rights

Simorgh Women's Resource Centre
Formed in response to the upsurge of religious fundamentalism
and the promulgation of retrogressive and discriminatory legislation,
Simorghs main focus is research on women by women in order
to free both women and men from the dominance of ideas that support
social and economic divisions on the basis of gender, class, religion,
race and nationality. Simorgh works with students, teachers, media
professionals and has strong links with other national and international
womens groups. In addition to doing a variety of publishing,
Simorgh conducts seminars, conferences, income generation projects
and gender awareness workshops. They have also made some important
documentary films based on womens lives and struggles in Pakistan.

South Asia Partnership Pakistan(SAP-PK)
South Asia Partnership (SAP) is a network of participatory development-support
organizations operating under the same name and for the same purposes
in Canada and five South Asian countries, namely Bangladesh, India,
Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. SAP-PK aims to facilitate CBOs (Capacity
Building Organizations) and groups working with the disadvantaged
sections of society for their socio-economic uplift leading to empowerment
and self-reliance and to foster relationships with development organizations

Struggle for Change (SACH)
SACH is was set up on account of the human rights situation
in Pakistan, the inflow of refugees from Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq
and Occupied Kashmir into Pakistan and among them many have been
victims of torture. The specific services provided by SACH are:
medical care, mental health support, social support, legal coverage,
occupational therapy, educational services, micro-credit programs,
and human rights training.
