Committee to Defend Women's
Rights in the Middle East
CDWRME struggles for women's human rights, individual freedom and
civil rights. CDWRME believes that secularism and the separation
of religion from the state are the basic pre-conditions for womens
liberation in the Middle East and also believes in the universality
of womens rights and consider cultural relativism as a cover
to create a comprehensive social, legal, intellectual, emotional,
geographical and civil apartheid based on distinctions of race,
ethnicity, religion and gender.

Seeking Common Ground
Seeking Common Ground offers individuals the opportunity to
come together, learn communication skills, and create those foundational
relationships. Participants acquire the skills to assume ongoing
leadership roles in their own homes and communities. In the SCG,
There are two projects: Building Bridges for Peace(only for female),
Face to Face/Faith to Faith(open for both gender)
Building Bridges for Peace brings young women from Denver, Israel,
the West Bank, and Gaza together to participate in a 21-day intensive
communication workshop at a retreat center in the mountains of Colorado.
During those 21 days, the participants learn new communication techniques,
develop leadership skills, and work to build peaceful communities.
These experiences begin to break down walls that lead to hate, racism,
and often to violence. While learning skills to talk about conflict,
the young women also build self-esteem, and together they begin
to create a vision for a peaceful future.
