The women who had come to this meeting were accompanied by the Chairman of the Committee for Equal Opportunities, Nora Malaj and the Director of the Christian Foundation of Children, Linda Spahiu.

In her greeting, Mrs. Çeço thanked the women, who have come in the Assembly from 30 communes and 5 prefectures of the Northeastern Regions of the country, affected by poverty and the backward mentality.

She congratulated them for their initiative to transform their courtyards in social centers to help 1500 children, from 0-3 years old, who are threatened by hardship and blood revenge.

In her word she expressed the all-sided support for the policies in the service of women, for their progress and emancipation. She mentioned the start of the implementation of the National Strategy for Poverty Reduction, that of the Development of Education and Health, the national platform for The Woman, and the strategy for the children, 2001-2005.

In addition, the participants in the meeting were greeted by the deputy Marjeta Zaçe, who called the initiative of these women who cope with many difficulties as a step toward civilization.
