Minister Wants Major Female Participation
in Decision-Making Bodies

Angola's Minister of Family and Woman Promotion Candida Celeste
expressed on Sunday in the commune of Canacassala, Nambuangongo
municipality, northern Bengo province, her desire to "see in
the decision-making bodies" of the African countries a greater
woman participation.
The desire was manifested at the end of the official journey on
the occasion of African Woman's Day, that started on July 25-31,
whose central act was held in the commune of Canacassala, 100 kilometres
of Caxito, under the theme "The participation of African Women
in the achievement of millennium development goals.
According to the Cabinet Minister, "we should realise that
if we want to build, in Africa, balanced and fairer societies, then
we must now also prioritise the education of female class.
