Women Upgrading Defended At Seminar

June 10, 2005 - (Angola Press Agency) Women upgrading, for their better integration in the society was on Thursday defended, here, by the national director for woman rights, Maria Mpavamidina.

The official, who was speaking at the end of the seminar on Planning of a combined project on gender, that opened on Tuesday, underlined that the training should be extensive to all ladies of the country, in order for their better integration in various social programmes.

The meeting promoted by the Ministry of Family and Women Promotion, aims at the creation of a forum with all partners of the project to develop an appraisal plan.

The discussion of Gender and Human Rights and Financial Management were some of the matters analysed at the seminar.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the ruling MPLA party women wing (OMA), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Women Network.
