TEENAGER SHOT DEAD IN KASHMIR VILLAGE

September 2, 2004 - (IANS) A teenager was shot dead and his mother and younger sister were critically wounded by terrorists in a Jammu and Kashmir village.

Police said terrorists stormed into the home of Mohammad Akram, 18, in Dara Sagla village of Rajouri district, 180 km from here, late Wednesday and shot him dead. His 14-year old sister Billo and mother were critically wounded in the attack.

The condition of the two remained critical, officials said, adding that they were being shifted to Rajouri district hospital, a 10-km trek away.

Just 10 days ago, three members of a family, including two women, were slaughtered in the village.

Police ascribed the incidents to the increasing movement of terrorists in the area.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
