Workshop-cum-Expert Group Meeting on the Institutional Strengthening of National Women’s Machineries in South and South-West Asia

While there has been some progress since the Beijing Platform for Action in advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment, participants at the Workshop-cum-Expert Group Meeting on the Institutional Strengthening of National Women’s Machineries in South and South-West Asia, held in Bangkok from 18 to 21 January 2011, point out the additional efforts and innovative long term/integrated approaches needed to accelerate the strengthening of national women’s machineries (NWMs).
