As a PeaceWomen Intern, you will work alongside staff, fellows, and other interns to strive towards the full and rapid implementation of Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security. You will work on individual projects, attend conferences, meetings, and events at the United Nations Headquarters, report on women, peace and security issues, and create resources to be made available to the PeaceWomen audience. 

Some individual projects current interns are working on, include: National Action Plans, Security Council monitoring, Post 2015 sustainable development, WILPF's 2015 100th peace summit, and social media. 

After PeaceWomen, past interns have continued on to do other exciting work, such as:

  • Work for the Working Group on Women, Peace and Security
  • Co-author a report on domestic violence in India
  • Work at the Chatham House
  • Assist with a report on detention conditions and the death penalty in Japan
  • Work with the Global Justice Center to help develop legal arguments regarding the deliberate transmission of HIV in armed conflict
  • Work as a Communications Coordinator at the Center for Migration Studies
  • And so much more!
