PeaceWomen monitors the work of the General Assembly primarily during its General Debate in September of each year, as well as during the meetings of the Third Committee, Social, Humanitarian and Cultural.

General Assembly 67th Session 2012/2013

Tuesday September 18, 2012, marked the opening of the 67th session of the General Assembly. The General Debate took place between September 25 -October 1 under the official theme ”Bringing about adjustment or settlement of international disputes or situations by peaceful means”. The debate was moderated by Vuk Jeremić of Serbia, President of the 67th session of the General Assembly.
