PeaceWomen has recently launched the Second Edition of the Women, Peace and Security Handbook, a compilation and gender analysis of United Nations Security Council resolutions. The Handbook is a tool for good practice language and recommendations on incorporating gender and women's rights into the Council's work, particularly the country-specific resolutions. Drawing on the commitments and intent of the Women, Peace and Security agenda, the content of the Handbook is based on the ongoing work of PeaceWomen's Security Council Monitor: Resolution Watch initiative. The Handbook presents an in-depth thematic analysis of the progress, or lack thereof, made in the Council's internalization of Women, Peace and security vis-á-vis country-specific resolutions.
The PeaceWomen Publication Section also contains the current editions as well as archives of the PeaceWomen 1325 E-Newsletters, in addition to PeaceWomen Project commentary analysis, advocacy efforts, initiatives, events and the PeaceWomen Voices project. PeaceWomen Publications are part of efforts to ensure coverage of substantive 1325 issues and diverse geographic regions on a regular basis and in a timely and relevant manner.
