Video - Five Days to Change the World
This is a one-hour documentary that follows a group of young rebels at The Hague Appeal for Peace, the largest world peace conference in history, as they decide to take their future into their own hands. The rebels and others at the enormous gathering focus on specific actions and issues related to: child soldiers, land mines, the small arms trade, nuclear weapons, a permanent international criminal court and debt relief to poor nations. Archival footage, interwoven with footage of the gathering, puts the issues in context. Human Rights Guide in the Wake of September 11
The Human Rights Education Program at Amnesty International USA has published a guide that focuses on issues surrounding the Sept. 11th attacks. It is targeted to junior high and high school teachers and covers topics that range from racism and discrimination to International Humanitarian Law.
