The Global Network of Women Peacebuilders (GNWP), its members and partners are excited to announce a week of events focused on the 14th Anniversary of UN Security Council Resolution 1325. Adopted in October 2000, this groundbreaking resolution acknowledges that women are not only victims of conflict, but are centrally involved in peacebuilding and post-conflict reconciliation.
Join the movement! In April 2015, WILPF will commemorate a century of women’s peace activism with a “Women’s Power to Stop War” peace conference in the Hague.

This program has been around for decades and the UN has allotted it less air-time throughout the years. Women's media are constantly denied press passes to cover press conferences and events hosted by the UN.
