National Implementation (including NAPs)

National Implementation is an over-arching category that is relevant all the other thematic areas and covers issues beyond what are referred to as “National Action Plans” (NAPs).

Although international policy is important, ultimately implementation efforts must take place at the national level. For that reason, it is vital the governments take on the responsibility for implementation of policies on women, peace and security – including those obligations reflected in Security Council Resolutions 1325, 1820, 1888 and 1889.
