Office of the Gender Advisor at the Department of Peacekeeping Operations (DPKO) Headquarters
The Gender Advisor for the Department of Peacekeeping Operations (DPKO) Headquarters is based in the Peacekeeping Best Practices Unit (PBPU). The PBPU website includes information on the work of the Gender Advisor and a database of UN resources on gender and peacekeeping issues.

This webpage outlines DPKO's mandate on gender issues and highlights the department's efforts to date to integrate a gender perspective into its activities in accordance with Security Council Resolution 1325. It includes information on the functions of gender advisers and focal points in peacekeeping missions and contains links to useful resources on gender and peacekeeping

NEW Website of the Office of Gender Affairs, UN Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK)
This website, launched in May 2006, offers information on the mandate and strategies of the Office of Gender Affairs in UNMIK, as well as the programs and projects undertaken by the Office related to gender mainstreaming.The site also highlights trainings, campaigns, publications and other activities designed and conducted to build capacity in gender issues for local counterparts

The Gender Unit of the peacekeeping mission in Sudan (UNMIS) is headed by a Senior Gender Advisor. This webpage provides a comprehensive outline of the events and acitivites undertaken by the Unit as well as a compilation of useful resources and publications

Website of the Office of Gender Affairs, UN Peacekeeping Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (MONUC)
The peacekeeping mission in DRC (MONUC) includes a designated Gender Unit with a Senior Gender Advisor. In March 2003 they launched a website for their unit, the first ever UN mission web site dedicated to gender issues.

The UNMIL website, launched on 20 April 2005, includes a webpage on the Office of the Gender Advisor. This webpage provides an overview of the mandate of the Gender Office as well as a brief review of some of its past and ongoing activities in the areas of DDR, rule of law, the electoral process, and combatting gender-based violence, among others.
