This report explores the key elements needed at the national, regional, and global level to ensure not only strong and independent monitoring but also that women’s human rights advocates can effectively influence decisionmaking regarding the Sustainable Development Goals. This report focuses on how State's accountability can be strengthened, and addresses additional mechanisms and venues that might be used to monitor compliance with the SDGs – if their ability and capacity to engage with the SDGs is boosted.
