Cities for CEDAW Virtual National Conference

JOIN US for a virtual national conference on Cities for CEDAW(Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women). The meeting will take place in many cities throughout the US on 20 January 2015, (11:30 am – 1:00 pm PST and 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm EST). Speakers include Lakshmi Puri, Assistant Secretary-General (UN Women), UN ambassadors, a video message from Gavin Newsom, Lt. Governor of California and many more. Participants will have a chance to discuss priority issues about women's human rights and cities and to send their messages to the UN.

Cities for CEDAW is a campaign to get municipalities to adopt CEDAW as a city ordinance during Beijing Plus 20, a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the UN Fourth World Conference on Women.

This meeting will include a social conference feature, so try to register online with computers. You can also sign-on using your mobile devices and upload your photo. Details for registration will be sent soon.
