Background

The Chair of the Commission on the Status of Women, Her Excellency Marjon V. Kamara (Liberia), will hold a second informal briefing to provide updates on the preparations for the fifty-seventh session of the Commission on the Status of Women on Monday, 11 February 2013, from 13:15 to 14:30, in Conference Room 1 (NLB). All interested delegations and representatives of non-governmental organizations are invited to attend.

The fifty-seventh session of the Commission on the Status of Women will be held from Monday, 4, to Friday, 15 March 2013. The opening meeting will take place on Monday, 4 March, at 10:00, in the General Assembly Hall. The provisional annotated agenda and proposed organization of work for the session are contained in documents E/CN.6/2013/1 and E/CN.6/2013/1/Add.1, respectively (see sidebar for documents).
