ERITREA: Nuew Gash Barka Brach Making Efforts to Elevate Women's Awareness

The branch office of the National Union of Eritrean Women (NUEW) in Gash-Barka region is making efforts to elevate women's awareness in all aspects of their lives and enable them to improve their lives by gaining work experience, according to the head of the branch, Ms. Saliha Adem.

In a meeting she conducted with 300 of the Union's members engaged in organizing women in the region, Ms. Saliha called for improved participation of women in the socio-economic and political domains.

The General Director of Social Services in he region, Mr. Abdulahi Al-Amin on his part pointed out that women in the area have so far not been taking advantage of various training opportunities provided by the NUEW, and stated that the regional administration will extend its full cooperation in endeavors to promote the over-all development of women.
