Within the international community, much attention has been given to the diplomatic developments of the Syrian conflict, while the human narrative is less often heard. For the first time at the United Nations, the international community will have an opportunity to hear survivor accounts of the UN documented massacres that occurred on August 2012 in Darayya and August 2013 in Ghouta. These witnesses' stories shed light on the human rights violations committed since the start of the Syrian democratic uprising. Dignitaries from UN member states, NGO representatives and members of the press will be in attendance.

We look forward to the honor of your presence. It will be invaluable to the Syrian people as it will ensure that the international diplomatic community hears the human narrative of this crisis told by those most directly affected.
