Internal Displacement: Global Overview of Trends and Developments in 2010

The findings of this report are based on IDMC:s monitoring in 2010 of internal displacement situations caused by armed conflict, generalized violence and human rights violations. While all efforts have been made to present the most accurate and updated information, in many countries with internal displacement there is only limited or outdated information available on the number of IDPs and their conditions.

Women and girl are often faced further human rights violations in times of conflict and during displacement, for example is sexual violence a big problem.
