(WTVM) – The role and importance of women in peace and security are the subjects of a symposium hosted by the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation at Fort Benning Thursday March 30.

The Institute is putting into place the Department of Defense's guidance on the U.S. National Action Plan on Women, Peace, and Security.
