In 2012 the Committee on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women met for the following sessions:

  • Session 53: During October of 2012, the CEDAW Committee considered state reports for Central African Republic, Chile, Comoros, Equatorial Guinea, Serbia, Seychelles, Togo, and Turkmenistan.
  • Session 52: During July of 2012, the CEDAW Committee considered state reports for Bahamas, Bulgaria, Guyana, Indonesia, Jamaica, Mexico, New Zealand, and Samoa.
  • Session 51: During February of 2012, the CEDAW Committee considered state reports for Algeria, Brazil, Grenada, Jordan, Norway, Republic of Congo, and Zimbabwe.
Highlight: 

WILPF’s engagement with the CEDAW Committee is led by our Human Rights Program, which works with sections and partners to advocate, provide shadow reports, and monitor for gender and disarmament issues.
