Letter for the Appointment of Cofacilitators of Political Declaration HLPF 2019

This letter by President of the General Assembly, María Fernanda Espinosa Garcés, appoints  Sheila Gweneth Carey, Permanent Representative of Bahamas, and Olof Skoog, Permanent Representative of Sweden, as
co-facilitators to consult with Member States in an open, inclusive and transparent manner with a view to producing a Political Declaration, for consideration of the Assembly during the 74th session.

Gender Equality and the Sustainable Development Goals in Asia and the Pacific

The report provides a baseline for monitoring progress on gender equality within the SDG framework and identifies priority actions towards achieving gender equality in the region. It provides the first assessment for Asia and the Pacific of how the 2030 Agenda is to be achieved by addressing gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls.
