The National Union of Eritrean Women (NUEW) is striving to ensure women's participation in all domains, disclosed the head of Information and Campaign in the Union, Ms. Dehab Suleiman.

She told ERINA the union has been carrying out various campaigns and trainings to enhance women's participation in political, economic and other sectors, and that the endeavors have enabled to become self-supporting, particularly in remote areas.

Ms. Dehab further said that women should enhance their participation to make utmost use of the opportunities provided for them, and called on them to redouble their efforts for more gratifying outcomes. She also explained that the number of females joining the union is rising from time to time and that over 8,000 female students have become members as a result the campaigns carried out in high level educational institutions.

Moreover, Ms. Dehab said that adult education program was conducted for illiterate members of the union and that they would continue offering various trainings further more.
