Implementation of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda

Who is responsible for the holistic implementation of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda?

In this section of our website, WILPF provides a gateway to learning about the various actors who are responsible for implementing the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Agenda. Key actors featured include the UN Security Council, Member States, United Nations entities and Civil Society Organisations.

Our monitoring tools in this section are aimed at strengthening accountability and promoting a progressive gender-perspective in preventing conflict and creating peace at the local, national and international levels. These tools can all be leveraged to strengthen the effective and meaningful participation of women in peace and security matters and to bridge global and local efforts to implement a holistic and transformative WPS Agenda.

We encourage you to use these tools to hold your own governments accountable and mobilise key stakeholders to move from commitments to accomplishments.
