The International Museum of Women will celebrate its project on Economica, Focusing on Latin America, tonight at the Women's Building.

Economica — organized by the Global Fund for Women and the International Association for Feminist Economics — documents the lives of women and is an ongoing site that takes submissions.

Dr. Sandra R. Hernández, the chief executive officer of the San Francisco Foundation, will also be honored tonight for her work to empower women and girls. Prior to becoming the foundation's CEO, she served as the director of public health for the City and County of San Francisco. Hernández is an assistant clinical professor at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine, and maintains an active clinical practice at San Francisco General Hospital in the AIDS clinic.
