Peacebuilding, Conflict Transformation & Post-War Stabilisation, Recovery, and Reconciliation

PCTR provides a global policy and operational overview of the latest lessons learned, tools, and methods in peacebuilding, conflict transformation and post-war stabilization and recovery, bringing together experienced practitioners and policy makers from governments, the United Nations, EU, and national and international organisations and agencies.Text Box: PCTR draws upon a global experience base, systematically weaving together key operational and policy lessons identified and good practices, providing a forum for participants to address concrete issues and challenges facing them in their work and country/community.

The PCTR includes:

· Operational skills, lessons learned and best practices in peacebuilding, conflict transformation, and post-war stabilization, recovery and reconciliation;

· Case Studies and training in key skills, knowledge and methodologies linked directly to participants needs and experiences
· Review of lessons-learned and best practices in the field .
· Tools for strategic planning and peacebuilding, conflict transformation and post-war stabilisation and recovery strategies and engagements.
· In depth operational guide to Conflict Analysis and Conflict Intelligence in peacebuilding and post-war stabilisation and recovery
· Linkages with gender, human rights, political, economic and social stabilisation; security; disarmament, demobilization and reintegration; governance and democratization; development and nation and state-building;
· Methods and strategies for organizations, governments and international institutions to improve and strengthen their ability to support peacebuilding, conflict transformation and post-war stabilisation, recovery, and reconciliation
· How to strengthen sustainable national capacities in countries and areas affected by conflict and to enable a lasting peace.
