"The 1325 Key to Peace" is a play written by Shirley Farlinger. Signed ten-years ago, the UN Security Council resolution 1325 mandates women's participation at tables of peace and war decision-making at all levels.
This 30 minute play with overblown characters and quick humour depicts "existing" War Room decision-making with 3 men: a Canadian diplomat type, Ty Coon and a Military General deciding to invade Rougestan. While 3 women meet, (one a refugee from Rouge-e-stan) the 1325 Key (UN Security Council resolution 1325 signed 10 years ago) is produced to join the men in looking at alternatives to invasion.
