RAW in WAR is an NGO focused on working to support women human rights defenders in war and conflict zones.

Each year the organization hosts the Anna Politkovskaya Award, in memory of Anna Politkovskaya and to celebrate the work of an outstanding woman human rights defender. In previous years recipients of the award have included Natalia Estemirova, Dr Halima Bashir, One Million Signature Campaign and Marie Colvin.

The annual award ceremony is a special event to bring together supporters of women human rights defenders to remember Anna on the anniversary of her murder and to celebrate the courage of the new award recipient.
