Lafole — Fighters loyal to Al shabaab movement on Sunday detained 15 Somali women whom are accused of violating the movement's strict orders on women.

A witness has told Shabelle Radio that the apprehended are said to have worn light clothes whose bodies could be easily seen.

He added that they were jailed in prisons in the villages of Lafole and Elasha Biya just jus outside Mogadishu and it is a shelter for hundreds of thousands of displaced people from Mogadishu violence.

Sources said the women had been fined and sentenced to be in the jail for days, but the reports are not still confirmed.

Over the last few weeks, pickups mounted with speakers could been in IDPs outside of the capital telling the women to put on full length coverings and yashmaks. They also ordered the women of not coming out without father, brother etc.
