The Southern Sudan Human Rights Commission on Friday staged a march on the streets of Juba mobilizing women to go and register for upcoming referendum. The march started from Women Union to the Southern Sudan Legislative Assembly where a number of speeches were delivered.

The in charge of mobilization, Janety Poni Bullen, said that the turnout of women at registration centers is low. The Government Chief Whip Southern Sudan Legislative Assembly, Bonguot Amum, said women suffered during the war, and to realize peace they must get involved in the referendum process.
