The Association for Women's Rights in Development (AWID) is an international feminist organization working to strengthen the voice, impact and influence of women's rights advocates, organizations and movements internationally.

Overview of the Position

AWID's Young Feminist Activism Program is seeking an individual to assist with the Young Feminist Wire (http://yfa.awid.org) our new online portal that brings together young feminists working on women's rights and gender equality around the world.
The YFA Wire Moderator reports to the Young Feminist Activism Program Associate.

{{Qualifications
Expertise and Skills:

•Fluent in English, French, and Spanish
•Experience working with online social networking tools (Twitter, Facebook)
•Experience working with simple databases (MS Excel)
•Knowledge of women's human rights and/or gender and development
•Activist experience working on young feminist initiatives
•Experience working with WordPress or other open-source content management systems a plus
Responsibilities:

This position involves completing the following tasks in Spanish and French

•Online research
•Posting content on the website
•Proofreading and short translations
•Email communication
•Updating Facebook and Twitter accounts
•Moderating user comments
•Basic database maintenance and other administrative tasks
Four month contract: 10 hours of work per week (paid hourly), with the possibility of renewal.

All candidates will be asked to complete a short language test.
