Monthly Action Points (MAP) for the Security Council: September 2010

The NGO Working Group on Women, Peace and Security has released the September 2010 version of our Monthly Action Points (MAP) on Women, Peace and Security for the UN Security Council. For September, in which Turkey has the Security Council Presidency, the MAP provides recommendations on country situations such as Afghanistan, DRC, Liberia, Nepal, Sierra Leone and Somalia. In addition, the MAP highlights the need for women, peace and security issues to be central to the Council's upcoming meeting on international, peace and security, and the importance of finalizing preparations for substantive action on the 10th Anniversary of SCR 1325 in October.
