In 2010 the Committee on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women met for the following sessions:

  • Session 47: During October of 2010, the CEDAW Committee considered state reports for Burkina Faso, Chad, Comoros, Czech Republic, Lesotho, Malta, Tunisia, and Uganda.
  • Session 46: During July of 2010 in CEDAW Session 46, the CEDAW Committee considered state reports for Albania, Argentina, Australia, Central African Republic, Fiji, Grenada, Papua New Guinea, Russian Federation, Seychelles, Turkey, and India.
  • Session 45: During January-February of 2010 in CEDAW Session 45, the CEDAW Committee considered state reports for Botswana, Egypt. Malawi, Netherlands, Panama, United Arab Emirates, Ukraine, Uzbekistan.
Highlight: 

WILPF’s engagement with the CEDAW Committee is led by our Human Rights Program, which works with sections and partners to advocate, provide shadow reports, and monitor for gender and disarmament issues.
