In 2014 the Committee on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women met for the following sessions:

  • Session 59: During February of 2014, the CEDAW Committee conducted regional consultations in Bahrain, Cameroon, Finland, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Qatar.
  • Session 58: During July of 2014, the CEDAW Committee considered state reports for Central African Republic, Georgia, India, Lithuania, Mauritania, Peru, Swaziland, and the Syrian Arab Republic.
  • Session 57: During February of 2014, the CEDAW Committee considered state reports for Cameroon, Cape Verde, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Qatar.
Highlight: 

WILPF’s engagement with the CEDAW Committee is led by our Human Rights Program, which works with sections and partners to advocate, provide shadow reports, and monitor for gender and disarmament issues.
