An English, Fijian and Hindustani radio campaign on the 5 stations of the Fiji Broadcasting Corporation Limited and supported by the International Women's Development Agency will be the start of a public information campaign to promote the key aspects of this ground-breaking security council resolution.

Women of Uganda Network (WOUGNET) is a non-governmental organisation established in May 2000 by several women organisations in Uganda to develop the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) among women as tools to share information and address issues collectively.

Last Thursday, November 30th, we re-launched the Blue Ribbon, a symbol of a collective call to action in May 2000 (see background of the blue ribbon story below or online):

The "Peace Bikes" initiative is part of UNDP's larger sexual and gender-based violence programme which has trained over 700 women in peacebuilding, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

The fifth edition of The New Vision Woman Achiever Award project kicked off last week. The public is called upon to nominate women who have gone through a lot of suffering, but still managed to contribute to the wellbeing of others.
