A key emerging message is that insecurity, injustice and violence disrupts development progress and destroys people's lives in all societies.

Raw in War Present: Anna Politkovskaya Award 2013

RAW in WAR is an NGO focused on working to support women human rights defenders in war and conflict zones.

Each year the organization hosts the Anna Politkovskaya Award, in memory of Anna Politkovskaya and to celebrate the work of an outstanding woman human rights defender. In previous years recipients of the award have included Natalia Estemirova, Dr Halima Bashir, One Million Signature Campaign and Marie Colvin.
